Scholarships, Resources, and EOPS Alumni
Are you an EOPS student who is looking for financial support that you don't have to repay? Scholarships are a great way to cover tuition, fees and other college costs. They can be based upon financial need, academic merit or academic programs. Here are a couple of resources to find scholarships.
- Chaffey College Foundation: The foundation provides an array of scholarship opportunities.
- Chaffey College Student Government and Student Life: Student government offers more than 250 scholarship to students, including 220 scholarships that have no requirement except being enrolled at Chaffey.
- Tansen Ajmera Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and who display the values important to the Ajmera family: dedication to community service, civic engagement, and the pursuit of higher education as a means to self-empowerment and a dedication to making the world a better place. The scholarship is offered during the spring semester through the Chaffey College Foundation and is open to EOPS students in good standing.
- Dr. Christine Flores Legacy Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded in honor of past Chaffey College EOPS & CARE counselor and coordinator Dr. Christine “Chris” Flores. As a student advocate, Dr. Flores believes in inspiring hope and encouraging under-represented and non-traditional students to overcome challenges and reach their potential. She was instrumental in introducing tutoring services to EOPS, which later served as the model for the Success Center at Chaffey. She was also central in initiating the Chaffey College California Institute for Women (CIW) College Program in 2005.
