Chaffey College Announces 2024-2025 Governing Board Officers

The Governing Board for the Chaffey Community College District announced its officers for 2024-2025 at its regular meeting on July 17.

The Chaffey College Governing Board officers are:

  • President – Deana Olivares-Lambert – representing Upland
  • Vice President – Gloria Negrete-McLeod – representing the Chino Valley
  • Clerk – Gary C. Ovitt – representing Ontario
  • Member – Lee C. McDougal - representing Fontana
  • Immediate Past President – Kathleen Brugger – representing Rancho Cucamonga

 

Olivares-Lambert has served on the board since 2020. She is a partner at The 20/20 Network, a Southern California-based communications firm specializing inDeana Olivares-Lambert media and community relations, branding, strategic planning and crisis management.

Gloria Negrete-McLeod was named vice president and Gary C. Ovitt was named clerk. Lee C. McDougal will serve as member and voting representative for the San Bernardino County Committee on School District Organization. Kathleen Brugger was named immediate past president.

“Chaffey College remains the jewel of the Inland Empire by helping our students earn degrees and certificates and providing our workforce with skilled employees, both which drive our region’s economic growth,” said Chaffey College Superintendent/President Henry Shannon. “The reorganization of the Chaffey College Governing Board will position us for continued success in our mission of improving the lives of our students.”

The Governing Board represents the community of the college’s district in determining policies and making decisions, which govern the operation of the district and the college.

The board will meet again on August 22.
