A2Mend

The African American Male Education Network and Development (A²MEND) provides support, guidance, curriculum, professional development, and networking opportunities for students. A2Mend is committed to the personal development, professional growth and academic success of participating members. A²MEND strives to improve academic success and to develop culturally competent servant student leaders. A2Mend members will have the opportunity to network with other students within the academy through monthly programming and social activities offered through the A²MEND.

The program provides:

  • Leadership opportunities on campus and in the community!
  • Assistance with clarifying your professional and educational goals!
  • Personal and academic skill development to advocate for your professional and educational success!
  • Mentorship opportunities!
  • Educational planning support (including degree/certificate planning)!
  • Academic support & holistic support!
  • Transfer resources to UC’s, CSU’s, Private Schools as well as HBCU’s!
