NBA Champion Metta World Peace will be Chaffey College's commencement speaker at the 105th commencement ceremony on May 19.

More than 300 students, colleagues and family members gathered to remember longtime Chaffey College counselor and Umoja co-founder Dr. Donna Colondres during a virtual celebration of her life on Feb. 1.

More students will have access to hospitality management and culinary arts training and careers with the support of a three-year $1.7-million grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.

Chaffey College honored 17 vocational nursing and 31 associate degree in nursing students during a pair of ceremonies at the Rancho Cucamonga campus on Dec. 16.

Chaffey College alumnus Joey Catuara bought an Apple 1 from his electronics professor in 1977 so he could do computer programming at home. When he decided to sell it, the piece of tech history became the subject of worldwide media coverage and sold at auction for $500,000 on Nov. 9.

Hispanic Outlook on Education has ranked Chaffey College the No. 4 California community college to grant associate's degrees to Hispanic students and the state's No. 5 college in Hispanic enrollment.

Students waved pompoms, honked their horns and showed off decorated cars in Chaffey College's first-ever drive-thru Tailgate celebration on Oct. 1.
