About CSI:
CSI is a proud California manufacturer producing top-quality steel and satisfied customers. Located in Fontana, California, CSI is the leading producer of flat-rolled steel and API certified electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe products in the Western United States—capable of producing over two million tons of steel representing five different product lines manufactured at our 400-acre facility with 115 acres under roof. CSI opened its doors in 1984, when two of the world’s biggest steel industry participants joined together to establish a viable west coast steel source following the closure of Kaiser Steel’s facilities. CSI was created as an independent company, and became the successful product of collaboration for the world’s second largest steel manufacturer, Japan’s JFE Steel Group, and the world's largest mining company, Vale Corporation in Brazil. Since its establishment, CSI has invested over $1 billion in maintaining, modernizing and increasing operation capabilities, and remains a premier employer of the Inland Empire with approximately 900 full-time employees and a small contingency staff working on our team.
