MACC Renovation Update
August 5, 2024
Dear Campus Community,
As we get ready for the start of fall semester, we wanted to update you on the MACC
renovation project on the Rancho Cucamonga campus, and how it affects you. You will
notice that fencing has been set up around the entire building, blocking access to
some surrounding areas. View path of travel map.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The MACC building itself will remain closed until mid to late 2026 when this project is slated for completion
- The section of road located south of MACC is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic and is open to construction personnel only
- You may access SSA, BE, AD, WH and the library from the east by using the promenade and from parking lots R-1 and R-2 (please see map below)
- Departments previously housed in MACC will remain in their temporary locations until construction is complete. EOPS is located in AD-151, Student Health Services is at the Child Development Center-A building and Dining Commons/Food Services will remain at the Sports Center.
As a reminder, the MACC renovation is a $22 million project that will expand the building
by 9,000-square-feet, and add an estimated 400 indoor seats. We appreciate your patience
with regard to this project at Chaffey College.
Thank you,
Troy Ament
