Mourning the loss of Los Osos High School student

September 16, 2023

Dear Campus Community,

The Rancho Cucamonga community is mourning the loss of a Los Osos High School student who tragically passed away over the weekend.

Our hearts go out to the 17-year-old’s family and loved ones during this terribly sad and difficult time. A high school senior, she was a member of the Varsity Cheer Squad and Dance Team Captain, and a friend to students in our college community.

These tragedies serve as a reminder of the struggles many among us experience and the importance of seeking out help. At Chaffey College, mental health and student wellness is one of our top priorities. We encourage anyone who is experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm to seek help through the many resources available.
