Managing election season anxiety
November 1, 2024
Dear Campus Community,
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. We recognize that every election season can be stressful for members of our community, and this election is no different. Some of us may be feeling anxious during this season for many different reasons. As such, this message serves as an appreciation of what many are experiencing as well as an offering of resources for support.
We would like to share the work of our Social Wellness and Behavioral Support team and PRISM working in collaboration to create the enclosed tip sheet for managing election anxiety. While this resource has been shared with students, we thought this would also be helpful for our entire campus community. Additionally, the American Psychological Association has some helpful tips for coping with stress and anxiety during an election season.
We hope these non-partisan resources can be beneficial to us all – before and after the election – and serve as a reminder to prioritize our health and mental well-being.
Thank you for being a part of the Chaffey College community,
Sincerely,
Lisa Bailey
