Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

September 18, 2023

Dear Campus Community,

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, we pay special attention to the history, heritage and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino Americans of the past and present. We take pride in the diversity of our student body, and are especially proud of our status as a Hispanic Serving Institution with a Latino population of more than 60 percent.

Our campus departments have a robust selection of events and programming in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, including:

  • Sept. 29 - 2 to 4:30 p.m. | Friday Flicks: "In the Heights" - CAA-218
  • Oct. 3 – 11 a.m. | Historia del cacao y sus beneficios (History of Cacao and its Benefits) - MACC-208
