ZTC/OER Committee
Purpose: The ZTC/OER Committee advocates for the college-wide adoption of zero-cost textbooks for student retention, success, and achievement. The ZTC/OER Committee collaborates with various groups on campus who share the mission to create a more equitable environment for Chaffey students through zero and low-cost textbooks.
Scope: This committee is open to all faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as select students. The committee will:
- Work alongside the Textbook Transformation Project, ASCCC OERI Liaisons, and Academic Senate OER Liaisons to address ZTC as well as LCT course material usage, professional development training, implementation, and other ZTC/LCT topics from faculty, staff, and administration.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of current statewide legislation and initiatives under ASCCC OERI in order to communicate information to the campus at large.
- Collaborate with campus groups, partners, departments, and other stakeholders to overcome obstacles in addressing faculty and student concerns surrounding ZTC and LCT course material usage.
