Academic Accommodations Committee
Purpose: To recommend reasonable academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
Scope: The committee's charge is to review student accommodation requests within 30 days of being made. The committee recommends to the superintendent/president an accommodation that will assist the student in successfully completing academic objectives without compromising academic standards.
Reports to: Superintendent/President
Terms of Office: N/A
Chairperson: Director, Disability Programs and Services
Members: Jeff Brouwer, Greg Creel, Melanie Olivera-LaVallee, Mary Jane Ross, and Alif Wardak. Other faculty participation is requested as determined by the discipline.
Meeting Day and Time: The committee meets on an as needed basis, usually two or three times per academic year, depending on the number of requests received. Days and times vary depending on committee members' schedules.
